[![Aspose.OCR for Java logo][1] We are pleased to announce that Aspose.OCR for Java 3.0.0 is now available for public use. This release includes optimizing OCR process by setting not to save preprocessed images and improvements in the algorithms to process the noisy OMR scanned sheet images.

Exclude Preprocessed Images from OCR operation

Aspose.OCR for Java provides facility to exclude preprocessed images from being saved during OCR operation. This functionality can be achieved by setting the setSavePreprocessedImages property of the configuration [OCRConfig] class to true.

Following is the simple code snippet demonstrating the usage of the said property to optimize the OCR process.

 String FileName = "";

//Initialize an instance of OcrEngine
OcrEngine ocr = new OcrEngine();

//Set the Image property by loading the image from file path location

// Set the SavePreprocessedImages property to false

if (ocr.process())
      // Do processing
