Each year offers its own, unique challenges and achievements. 2012 saw Aspose complete its first decade in business, announce a number of ventures, work hard to autoport our Java products, re-design the website and work even closer with user groups. Below is a closer look at some of our achievements this year.
We turned 10! Aspose started trading in March, 2002 so 2012 saw our tenth anniversary. In the decade since the company was founded, Aspose has seen a lot of changes, and so have our customers.

Saaspose.Barcode REST API Documentation Changes Introduced During the Month of July 2012
Saaspose.Barcode is a platform independent REST API that allows you to generate and recognize barcodes.You can generate barcode images in a variety of image formats like JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF and many others.During the month of July 2012, we have updated our documentation with a set of features to help you generate barcode images and recognize barcode from different types of images. You can create barcodes and get image as stream or save image to local disk.
Aspose Wins SD Times Top 100 2012 Award
**[![SD Times 100 2012 Award logo][1], the software development magazine, recognizes the innovation and leadership of companies, non-profit organizations, open source projects and other initiatives in their annual Top 100 awards. This year, Aspose was included in the Libraries & Frameworks category. It is the fourth year that Aspose receives an SD Times Top 100 award.
The SD Times 100 is not a product award but awards leadership in a variety of software development industry areas.
Announcing Aspose.BarCode for SharePoint
**[![][1], released in 2005. Since then, Aspose has added barcode features to the other platforms they support with [Aspose.BarCode for Java][2], [SQL Server Reporting Services][3] and [JasperReports][4]. Today, they release [Aspose.BarCode for SharePoint][5].
Add Barcodes to SharePoint Lists Aspose.BarCode for SharePoint is an easy to install component that extends the existing SharePoint field set by adding a barcode field. This means that users can generate barcodes in SharePoint lists. The field takes two variables:

Ten years, five platforms and over 30 products
[![Celebrating 10 years of business][1]. Many of our products exist, with the same or slightly different features, on all five platforms. .NET is usually the first platform that a product is introduced on. If it is successful, of if there’s particular demand, we’ll port it to another platform.
Our first products were all for .NET. We introduced our first Java products in 2005 and added Reporting Services in 2007. This was followed by JasperReports in 2008 and our most recent platform addition, SharePoint, later the same year.
